- have an open, reflective and critical eye of the world as a whole and are able to recognise and address the issue of structural problems of social inequality and injustice;
- to contribute throughout their lives to a sustainable and just society;
- day after day, in terms of professional as well as personal responsibility, act in a sustainable and humane way;
- to function well and to be broadly employable in a multicultural, globalised, fast-changing society;
- to take full advantage of their professional skills in institutions, organisations and companies where the need for these additional competences is rising.

Thinking and acting based on equality
Throughout the post Bachelor programme respect is considered to be an ethical attitude.
We perceive respect as the willingness to allow, show understanding of and (learn to) appreciate differences. This attitude is based on being susceptible for new information, being focused on others, considering everybody equal and recognising one's own contribution.
Impressed by interdependence
The past, present and future of the North and South are intrinsically interwoven. In order to gain an insight into this continuous influence and interaction you need to dare to be vulnerable, (self-)critical and receptive in an experience where interaction and exchange are pivotal.
From this interrelation viewpoint the post Bachelor addresses the issue of social inequality and injustice in today's globalised world.
Striving for a sustainable cooperation
From the social and economic standpoint it is of fundamental significance for the post Bachelor to engage in a sustainable relationship with the South. This can be realised by a transparent and authentic dialogue with each other.
Reciprocity is a two-way process: learning together, cooperating and solving problems mutually, it is a give and take.
Transcending the individual and introspective
The post Bachelor International Cooperation North-South stimulates students to also take up their social responsibilities outside the formal frame of the programme and participate in sustainable commitments.
This requires a transfer, application and integration of their acquired insights into their way of thinking, perceiving, living and working (together) with people from other cultures.
The study programme intends to extend and reinforce its partnerships and networks by means of the following goals in the forthcoming 5 years:
1. Valorising and strengthening of the employment and social potential of our alumni. We want to achieve this by analysing and thoroughly visualising the effect of our study programme.
2. By way of developing a post Bachelor International Cooperation North-South in English we want to target an effective reciprocity with various partners from the South and an exchange of know-how. In this way we are further shaping the international character of the study programme.
3. By interweaving theory and practice and further integrating into the programme we want to enhance the identity of our professional Bachelor.
4. We want to make a specific contribution to the context of international internships as a powerful learning environment. This will be achieved by offering our know-how and expertise to other university colleges, institutes and organisations in order to prepare and supervise international internships.
5. Furthermore we are working on developing a meaningful, sustainable and participative practice that is based on action research with our partners of the South. Taking our objectives into account, we intend to determine important research domains where students can carry out qualitative and meaningful research.
This Bachelor's degree is explicitly focused on supporting the career profiles with respect to employability in an international labour market. You are expected to continue elaborating on your previously acquired competences as well as on your intercultural competences.
