Summer School 'Moving for Sustainable Development'
How can we better understand the complexity of the world around us? What kind of world do we want for the future, within the limits of our Earth’s life support systems? And what can we do as an individual (within an organization) to bring about change?
Embarking on the path of sustainable development will require a profound transformation of how we think, feel and act. To create a more sustainable world and to engage with sustainability-related issues as described in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), individuals must become sustainability change-makers. (UNESCO, 2015). These change-makers need to have certain key competencies that allow them to engage constructively and responsibly with today’s world and allow them to collaborate, speak up and act for positive change.
This Masterclass 'Moving for Sustainable Development' aims at developing sustainable development competencies, as formulated by UNESCO, and empowers you to reflect on your own actions, taking into account your current and future (social, cultural, economic and environmental) impacts.
