Welcome to Leuven!
We like to offer the best possible start for your stay with us. Our Introduction Week is tailored to the needs of international students who are not familiar with Belgium, Leuven or our university college. We provide lots of useful information. It is even possible to request a buddy (buddy application is being updated) ! This buddy can help you with getting settled in our city and at our university college.
Leuven is a small yet bustling student town in the heart of Belgium and all yours to discover. To kick off the semester we organise an Introduction Week in September 2017 (11-15 September) and in February 2018 (5-9 February) before the start of the Autumn and Spring semester. All exchange students are invited to attend our welcome sessions. Our February Introduction Week programme (v08/01/2018) is now available. Please check back on a regular basis for the most recent updates.
If you want to learn more about living in Leuven as a student, please visit the Residence, mobility, environment web pages where you will find information about student responsibility, waste disposal, bike, bus and train travel, and so much more.
