From the 5th to the 9th of March 2018 the Legal Practice department of the UCLL Campus Proximus organizes the tenth annual “International Law Week” at its campus in Haasrode. As in past years, around one hundred students from numerous European states will be challenged to reflect and work on actual (political and legal) topics within the domain of international and European law.

This jubilee constitutes a unique milestone in the process of “internationalization”, which remains one of the core goals that UC Leuven-Limburg consistently takes at heart.  Therefore, we are pleased and honored to invite you to the academic session "EU 2.0 - Drivers & Challenges", followed by a networking-reception, in order to celebrate this special 10th edition of the International Law Week.

Minister of State and Prof.em. Mark Eyskens, former Prime Minister of Belgium and co-negotiator of the EU-Treaty, and Minister of State Frans van Daele, former EU-ambassador and permanent representative to the European Union and former ambassador in the United States, will shed some light on the future and the challenges of the European Union.

Afterwards we offer the opportunity to further reflect and discuss on the stimulating views of these eminent statesmen during the reception, with drink, appetizers ánd a musical performance.

This special celebration takes place on Tuesday 6th of March 2018 from 19 to 22 hours at Campus Proximus in Leuven. Besides the participants of the international law week itself, we will be delighted to also welcome UCLL-staff-members and students of all UCLL-programmes, as well as UCLL-alumni of Legal Practice and anyone who  remains fully involved with the Legal Practice department at UCLL Campus Proximus!
