BIP: Challenges in Entrepreneurship | UCLL

The main target of this week is to let students work in mixed international groups on different subjects  that interest them as entrepreneurs.  They are challenged to think and communicate in another language. We combine this week with several guest lectures, company visits and socio-cultural activities. Since it is a BIP, there will also be an online component.

In this way, students with as main subject ‘Business Management’ and a strong interest in Entrepreneurship broaden their practical knowledge of different aspects of entrepreneurship, languages and cultures.

Programme

Strength in diversity and real-life cases

Students work on a project in international groups; the more nationalities involved, the more interesting for the students. To create an experience as close to a real-life entrepreneurial one as possible, the project will:

  • focus on different aspects of a start-up
  • work with a case or cases provided by one or more companies

The topics will reflect at least two of the different departments of a small or medium sized company being either Sustainability (CSR), Marketing, Communication, Supply Chain Management, Financial Management, Risk Management or HRM.

Learn more about different aspects

The groups will get information through company visits, workshops and guest lectures on a specific aspect. They use that input to perform tasks regarding the introduced subtopic of entrepreneurship.

At the end of the week the groups will have to present their work in a compelling way to the entrepreneurs.

Miscellaneous

The mind needs some relaxation as well and this we offer in the form of an international food reception, sports activities, cultural visit, official closing dinner and goodbye party.
