About Campus Hertogstraat
This spacious campus, in the midst of a lot of fauna and with the Meerdaalwoud-woods nearby, exists out of three buildings: our modern main building 'Hertogstraat', 'Naamsesteemweg' which is full of character with original structures of the time it used to be a convent and UCLL's very own Sports hall.
This campus has various auditoriums, a few movement rooms and many practice-oriented classrooms and practice-oriented rooms. Additionally both parking and good food has been kept in mind:
- Parking: available, €60 per academic year
- Student restaurant: snacks, sandwich and salad bar, pasta
A living UCLL-campus is a young, stimulating and vibrant study environment where everyone gets the room to be themselves. Connection and participation are central, which also means you are welcome in this campus' student 'living rooms', coffee lounges and study spaces. A place that feels like home!
Outside of class, you're also welcome in the study centre with an extensive library, a 'playotheque' focused on learning games for children to use for our teaching education students and plenty of both digital and written materials to utilise. You can also book one of the study spaces for group work.
Our sports hall has an own climbing wall and various spaces designated for specific sports. Aditionally, there's a fitness connected to the sports hall, there are outside sports fields and a swimming pool nearby. Perfect for those who opt for a sports card!
The campus is situated amidst fields and greenery. The campus has numerous auditoria, an open learning centre and library, a student restaurant and a large sports hall.
But not only the future languages and PE teachers will find all they need to inspire young people. The campus is located in the vicinity of the ‘Meerdaalwoud’ (Meerdaal forest); our Biology teachers can instantly collect their herbarium materials.
