Real life data
Have you seen the movie Moneyball? More than ten years since it was released, Big Data and Data Analytics has exploded. In this project, you'll work with real life data from OHL (a Belgian pro league football club) to dive into sports analytics.
Goal
Your team will develop and pitch an AI solution. Who knows - maybe you'll impact the future of premier league football as we know it.
Programme
From 22 until 28 March 2026
We welcome participants of BusIT Week 2026 on Sunday, 22 March 2026. Upon arrival, participants will be welcomed by local students and coaches at a central meeting point, ideally at the football stadium while attending a Belgian Premier League match, subject to the league schedule. Most participants are expected to stay within walking distance of Leuven train station. The exact meeting location and address will be communicated in advance so that everyone can find it easily.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation; however, we are happy to provide suggestions if needed.
We’ll also try to include attending a football game if the premier league’s schedule allows it.

Practicalities
Profiles that have access to the busIT Week:
If possible, we try to mix the different profiles in each team to make the teams stronger. Most important is that you're interested in data. No specific background required, we'll organise workshops on the topic.
Prerequisite: bring your expertise and share it with the others. They will share their expertise with you.
