You can find various types of housing in the private sector in our database of accommodations, called 'KOT@Limburg'. 'Kot' is a colloquial word for student room.
Private student rooms
For a room from a private owner, the average rent varies between € 280 and € 320 per month including expenses for heating, electricity and water (utilities).
The price depends on:
- the rental term
- the size
- the location
- the private comfort of the room
Rental agreement
Legally, every rental agreement:
- has to be written
- is only valid if both tenant and landlord sign it
- cannot be terminated before it expires when signed, except in three cases (prior to the entry into force, upon study deregistration, upon the death of the student's parents/guardian).
