Leuven

At time of registration, UCLL Leuven students can purchase a bus pass which costs 30 euro (+ one-time 5 euro MOBIB card cost) per academic year.

You can use this pass to ride a Lijn bus anywhere in the Leuven area.

Not got your MOBIB card and Student Bus Pass yet? 

Go to the Lijnwinkel store (in the trainstation of Leuven), where you can buy the MOBIB card for € 5.

• Don’t forget to bring your identity card with you.
• Use your student email address, not your personal email.

Once you’ve got your MOBIB card, you can purchase the Student Bus Pass through your educational institution.

Already got a MOBIB card?

• a De Lijn MOBIB card: request the Student Bus Pass through your university or college
• a MOBIB card from another transport operator: go to a Lijnwinkel store. There you can register your card for a De Lijn travel pass, so that your Student Bus Pass can be uploaded to the MOBIB card. Once your card has been registered, you can purchase the Student Bus Pass through your educational institution. 

Limburg

The Belgian bus company is called “De Lijn”. Tickets and subscriptions are loaded onto a MOBIB card which you must scan when getting on the bus. You have to pay a five euro administration fee for this card (valid for 5 years).

• Do you want to travel by bus only in Genk, Diepenbeek or Hasselt? Then we offer an advantageous bus subscription, the “campuspas”. With this subscription you can travel by bus for only 20 euro. Your subscription will be loaded onto your MOBIB card.
