Institutional context

Two institutions, one moving mind

UC Leuven-Limburg (UCLL) is the result of a partnership between two university colleges: UC Leuven and UC Limburg.  Despite being part of the same organisation, there are still some differences between the institutions.

It is important that you select the correct university college (UC Leuven or UC Limburg) as each institution has its own programmes and campuses.

Please contact the international coordinator at your home institution if you are not sure whether you are going to study at:

  • UC Leuven - Erasmus code B LEUVEN18
(including former Group T Teacher Education and International Educating Class)

or

  • UC  Limburg - Erasmus code B  HASSELT20

Step 1: Nomination

Since March 2020 we are working with an online nomination & application portal: Mobility-Online. All partner institutions will receive a link to nominate students at UCLL on a regular basis.

In case you would not have received our nomination link(s), please let us know via international@ucll.be.

Step 2: Application

After being nominated by their home institution, students will receive an email with an link to register and apply in Mobility-Online.  Students are required to upload the following documents in Mobility-Online:

  • motivational letter: why do you want to come and study at UC Leuven-Limburg?
  • your curriculum
  • a picture
  • your most recent transcript of records at your home institution

Then, an International Officer of UCLL will accept or reject your application.

If accepted, you will be asked to complete your Learning Agreement for Study or Traineeship in Mobility-Online and have it signed by your home institution coordinator.

If a student wants to take courses at UCLL, independent of any agreement with the home institution, she/he/they can register as a free mover.

Please consult our transdisciplinary programmes and our faculty exchange programmes to learn more about the courses we offer.
