Co-operation on research and education.
Football club OH Leuven and UCLL have had a collaboration agreement on education and research since 2020. The collaboration creates many opportunities for both UCLL students and OH Leuven. Students from UCLL will be able to do an internship at football club OHL even more than before. The partnership also offers opportunities in the field of research, such as research into nutrition for athletes, reducing the club's ecological footprint, marketing projects, etc. OHL wants to call on the knowledge of UCLL students and give them the opportunity to gain experience in the field.
Dean Marc Vandewalle of UCLL "I am not only thinking of research projects from the field of nutrition and diet and the teacher training in physical education, but also of sustainability and reduction of the ecological footprint of the club's operations. The improvement of the community operations around the club and the question of how to reach other target groups that do not currently come to the stadium, is also a possible research object".
Peter Willems, (former) CEO of OHL, "We want to call on the innovative knowledge that is present in the Leuven educational institutions to make the club better in whatever area and also improve the bond between the club and the Leuven students. We do not only want to welcome them to our stands, but also give them the opportunity to gain experience on the field as part of their studies".
