Higher education in Flanders
Discover the programme structure of the higher education system in Flanders.
Flanders organises its education independently from Brussels and Wallonia. It follows the European standards and the European Qualification Framework. We use the European Credits Transfer System (or ECTS).
In higher education, Flanders offers various types of programmes:
Programme structure at UCLL
One year of study at UCLL equals 60 ECTS credits. Our bachelor programmes of 180 ECTS credits thus normally take three years of study.
