26 27 Application requirements
26 27 Diploma requirements by country
For entry into our professional bachelor's degree programmes
Use the drop-down to select the country where you obtained your diploma of secondary education. You will then be shown the diploma requirements to be eligible for one of our professional bachelor's degree programmes.
Please remember that in addition to your diploma, we also require a proof of language proficiency. See the tab "language requirements" above for more information.
This is a non-exhaustive list! Countries may be added or updated, especially around the beginning of the applications season (Dec, Jan, Feb).
If your country or qualification is not on this list, this does not mean that you cannot apply. If you hold a degree that provides admission into higher education in the country where the degree was issued, you are eligible to apply. Note that the admissions office might require you to take a standardised test (such as a national entry exam, SATs or the OMPT-A) in addition to your diploma. We will reach out to you if this is needed.
A fair recognition and admission process
UCLL guarantees a fair screening of your application.
- Our guidelines for the recognition of your credentials is governed by the Lisbon Recognition Convention if the country where the degree/diploma/certificate was issued, has ratified the Convention.
- Students must hold a diploma/degree/certificate that provides at least access to higher education in the country where it was issued, similar to the education level that you apply for at UCLL.
In addition, we mainly use the UK Enic/Ecctis database to assess candidates' diplomas/degrees.
Should you wish to appeal the result of your admission procedure or your request for the recognition of prior learning:
- send your complaint and completed application file to the Committee for Appeals at interne.beroepscommissie@ucll.be
- mention 'Appeal procedure + your name' in the subject line
The Committee meets on a regular basis.
