Renting a bike

You can rent a bike cheaply per academic year (+ a security deposit) with your UCLL student ID at Velo.

Velo is a social and ecological bicycle project :

• you can rent a second-hand-bike for a whole year.
• or you can rent a new UCLL-bike for a whole year.
• In Velo’s repair shop, students can repair their bike, or have it repaired for them at Leuven station.

Take the bus number 315, 316, 317 of 318 , your final stop is 'Heverlee Sociale School'.  

After a 10 minutes walk (walk back direction city center on the Tervuursesteenweg, first street left  and go uphill towards our building (grey tower building, 11 floors).

From the airport: There is a train station at the airport itself (lowest floor), you can purchase tickets directly from a ticket booth at the station or order them online.

Take a train to Leuven/Louvain. (NOT Louvain-l-n or Louvain-la-Neuve - that’s a different city in the French speaking part of Belgium)

• From Brussels, East and West Flanders
  • E 40 to Heverlee
  • E314 and just after the intersection keep right and take the Expressweg N264 to Leuven (Koning Boudewijnlaan)
  • Turn left onto the N253 at the first traffic lights
  • Continue on St.-Jansbergsesteenweg until the traffic lights
  • Turn left onto the Tervuursesteenweg
  • After about 500 meters turn right into the Groeneweg.
  • almost at the end of this dead end street you'll see Social School on your left.

  • Take E19 to RO
  • E40 direction Liege/Leuven

  • Turn left onto the N253 at the first traffic lights
