Studying with a disability
Studying with a disability does not have to be an obstacle at UCLL. We stand for an inclusive policy, where possible. You may be eligible for educational or examination facilities on the basis of the student with a disability status. Below you can find how all this works and how we can help you.
Contacts
Your first point of contact are the Student Services in Leuven and Diest or Limburg. You can go there in confidence for information and advice. You also start the procedures for obtaining facilities there. We advise future students to check our services as early as their final year of secondary education.
Procedure
Step 1
You can apply for the status of student with a disability via the “Enrollments and applications” tab on the KU loket (link is external). On the basis of the provided documentation and possibly an interview, you will be awarded the student with a disability status by the Student Services. You will be notified of this by e-mail and will receive the certificate of recognition status. Depending on the nature of your disability, you add the necessary documents to your application.
Below you will find an overview of the possible documents.
VAPH stands for: Flemish Agency for People with Disabilities
DG stands for: Directorate General for People with Disabilities
